Why It’s Important
What is Karate BC?
Karate BC is the official governing body for karate in British Columbia, ensuring high standards for dojos across the province.
As a registered member, you receive important benefits, including insurance coverage for training and competition-related injuries. Membership with Karate BC is required for all students to help protect themselves while training.
Membership Fees
Karate BC annual membership runs from September 1st to August 31st, with fees varying based on age and rank. If you are new to Karate BC, your membership fee will be pro-rated based on the month you join.
- Junior Colour Belts (15 & under): $35.00
- Adult Colour Belts (16 & over): $55.00
- Black Belts (All ages): $70.00
Please note: Karate BC membership fees are separate from Kelowna Karate club fees.
How to Sign Up
New members who have never had a Karate BC membership before must register through the official Karate BC portal. Use the links below for more information:
Karate BC Signup – Choose ‘Kelowna Tsuruoka Karate Club’ and register as a new member.
Karate BC Insurance Program – Learn about coverage details.
Karate BC Waiver (Kumite & Kata) – Required for tournament participation.
